The ITCC

IT Center University of Cologne (ITCC)

As a merger of the former Regional Computing Center Cologne (RRZK) and the former Staff Unit 01: Information Technology of the University Administration, the ITCC has been combining comprehensive IT services for the University of Cologne with research in the field of information sciences since the beginning of 2025.

We want to enable all user groups of the university to spend more time on their core tasks in research, teaching and administration through efficient and innovative services and friendly and solution-oriented support.

So whether in university administration, for media technology equipment or for a simple forgotten password: we want to be a reliable and open partner at our university.

At the same time, our research-related services and direct involvement in research projects allow us to have an impact far beyond our university community: together with research partners in fields ranging from astrophysics and archaeology to mathematics and the life sciences.

As a genome computing center in the BfArM's genome sequencing model project, research into genome-based medicine is one of our main focuses. We help to better understand rare diseases and promote the use of high-performance systems for genome data.

Our high-performance cluster RAMSES supports us in all of this.

We share news, events and exciting insights into our projects and our institution with you on social media and our website.
