WLAN account

Employees of the University of Cologne can apply for wireless network access to the UKLAN university network for a guest.

This is limited to two WLAN accounts simultaneously with a maximum duration of four weeks. After an account has expired, a new account can be created.

Instructions

  1. Log in to the website kim.uni-koeln.de with your personal account.
  2. Click on "Applications" in the menu bar on the overview page.
  3. In the "Applications" section, click on "Wi-Fi accounts for guests" [Image 1].
  4. Now fill out the form for each desired WLAN account [Fig. 2]. Enter your guest's details there. The details will be deleted after the WLAN account expires.
  5. Your guest will now receive the access data by e-mail. Please note that the Wi-Fi account must first be activated via uniKIM*fromthe specified start date* before it can be used.

Access to Wi-Fi

Your guests can use this login data for the "Conference@University of Cologne" network without further installations.

Guest network sockets

The WLAN account can also be used for guest network sockets at the University of Cologne. These are located in the lecture halls and are labelled with a sticker.
