EndNote is a software for organizing your literature. The features of EndNote Web are also part of the campus license.

Patches: 

You can download the latest patches on the producer's website (Patches EndNote) or you can install the the patch file via the EndNote menu "Help" > "EndNote Program Updates" (admin rights are required).

  • Enlarged view:
    After purchasing Endnote, you will find the installation files under "My orders & downloads".

    Then click on the ordered product Endnote.

  2. Then click on the Endnote product you have ordered [Fig. 2].
  3. Under the Downloads tab, download the corresponding Endnote version for your operating system [Fig. 3].

Preparing the installation

  • Enlarged view:
    Right-click on the ZIP archive and select "Extract all" from the context menu.
  • Enlarged view:
    Then click on "Extract" in the new window.
  • Enlarged view:
    After extracting, the Explorer window should open automatically. Please check the icon at the top left to see if the folder looks like the one shown in this image.
  • Enlarged view:
    If the folder icon at the top left looks like this image, extract all the data again.

  1. Right-click on the ZIP archive and select "Extract all" from the context menu [Fig. 1].
  2. Then click on "Extract" in the new window [Image 2].
  3. After extracting, the Explorer window should open automatically. Please check the icon at the top left to see whether the folder looks like the one in Fig. 3 [Fig. 3] and is not marked with a zipper in the middle [Fig. 4]. If a zipper is visible, unzip the folder again and check steps 1 to 3. Both files should also be present in the folder so that licensing can be carried out correctly.

  • Enlarged view:
    Click on "EN21Inst" to start the installation. Then click on "Next".
  • Enlarged view:
    Check whether the license is as shown in this image. If not, take another look at the process for unpacking the files or alternatively use a different wizard to unpack the ZIP archive (e.g. 7-Zip). If the license is recognized correctly, you can continue the installation with "Accept".

    Now click on "Next" to go through the installation and accept the license conditions.

  1. Click on "EN21Inst" to start the installation. Then click on "Next" [Fig. 1].
  2. Check whether the license is displayed as shown in image 2 [image 2]. If not, take another look at the process for unpacking the files or alternatively use another wizard to unpack the ZIP archive (e.g. 7-Zip). If the license is recognized correctly, you can continue the installation with "Accept".
  3. Now click "Next" to click through the installation and accept the license terms [Fig. 3, Fig. 4, Fig. 5, Fig. 6, Fig. 7, Fig. 8].
