All students and doctoral students of the University of Cologne can use EndNote free of charge.

You can order EndNote via the Online-Software-Shop of the University of Cologne.

If you have problems installing Endnote or the licensing does not work, please uninstall the software if necessary and follow our installation instructions for Windows.

Non-enrolled doctoral students who do not have a student-account, please send an appropriate certificate from their department to softwaremgr(at)uni-koeln.de.

Terms of use:

• The right of use ends with the de-registration respectively the completion of the doctorate or with the end of the contract period of the campus licence (currently 28.02.2023) - whichever event occurs first.   
• The contract for the EndNote Campus License is limited in time and will be extended or renewed, provided that the parties can reach an agreement. The license costs may change when the contract is renewed.
• After termination of the contract for the EndNote Campus License or after leaving the University of Cologne, all programs licensed under the contract must be deleted.

Employees of the University of Cologne can order EndNote via the Online-Software-Shop.

Terms of use:

• These licenses are rental licenses.
• The price for new orders is adjusted annually to the remaining term of the contract.
• If the software is installed on a computer that is used by only one employee, a home use right exists, i.e. the software may also be installed on a home computer or a private notebook.
• The contract for the EndNote Campus License is limited in time and will be extended or renewed, provided that the parties can reach an agreement. The license costs may change when the contract is renewed.
• Upon termination of the EndNote Campus License Agreement, all programs licensed under the agreement must be deleted at the end of the license period.
