Enhanced Security

Secure system access

Access to the system is enabled via multi-factor authentication, ensuring that only authorized users are granted access. Personal SSH keys are the basis for working on RAMSES. Logging into the system using a password does not meet current security standards and is therefore excluded.

Encryption from data transfer to storage

The RAMSES security architecture is designed to encrypt data at all stages of processing. It is based on the principles of encryption during use (Encryption in Use), during storage (Encryption at Rest) and during data transfer (Encryption in Motion). Both the distributed, parallel file system and the high-performance working memory use encryption mechanisms provided by the processor technology used. From data transfer via a secure tunnel during copying to the cluster through to storage.
