Request access
If you have not yet applied for access to SAP, please contact the SAP Competence Center.
Registration & Installation
- First log in to the SAP portal with your UniKIM ID and the corresponding password [Fig. 1].
- After successfully logging in, first click on "Determine Citrix Workspace app" ("Citrix-Workspace App” ermitteln") [Fig. 2].
- If you have not yet installed Citrix Workspace app, accept the license agreement and then click on "Download" [screenshot 3].
- Wait until the setup file has been downloaded and then start the setup file [screenshot 4]. After starting the setup [Fig. 5], click on "Continue" [Fig. 6].
- Now agree to the license agreement and click on "Continue" ("Fortfahren") [Fig. 7].
- Now select the AddOns you wish to install. Deactivate all third-party apps [Fig. 8]. Starting the app protection ensures that no screenshots can be taken in the Citrix interface (note that you cannot change this setting later).
- The Citrix Workspace app is now installed [screenshot 9]. Once this is complete, the app starts automatically [Fig. 10]. Close the app directly without making any further entries.
Use of SAP via Citrix
- First log in to the SAP portal with your UniKIM ID and the corresponding password [Fig. 1].
- After successfully logging in, first click on "Determine Citrix Workspace App" ("Citrix-Workspace App ermitteln") [Fig. 2] and then on “Next” ("Fortfahren") [Fig. 3].
- The website will now attempt to recognize the program. You can ignore the browser pop-up that asks you whether a link should be opened. Simply click on "Cancel" and then click on "Skip detection" ("Erkennung überspringen") on the page [Fig. 4].
- You will now be redirected to the Citrix StoreFront, click on SAP Gui [Fig. 5] and then on "Open" ("Öffnen"). The browser now downloads an *.ica file [Fig. 6], which you open after downloading.
- After a short moment, Citrix will start and you will be taken to the SAP Logon [screenshot 7]. Now click on "Log in" at the top and log in with the data provided by the SAP Competence Center.
FAQ
Error message during login
You receive the following error message when logging in: "Try again after a while or contact the helpdesk" ("Versuchen Sie es nach einiger Zeit erneut oder wenden Sie sich an den Helpdesk”).
Please first check whether the login details are correct: Log in to UniKIM and check whether you can successfully log in to UniKIM with the same login details.
- If the login is successful, please contact the SAP Competence Center and request access for SAP or have your access reactivated.
- If the login is not successful, check your password and reset it using the security questions. If you cannot reset the password yourself, please contact the ITCC Helpdesk.
