Filtering E-Mails with SOGo
Use the options wheel next to the name on the left-hand side (orange) to access further settings [Fig. 1].
Now select E-mail [Fig. 2]. On the right-hand side, you can select the various settings menus using the tabs at the top. If you want to save settings, look out for the green floppy disk symbol [Fig. 3]. As soon as you have clicked on it and it has turned gray/transparent, the current changes have been saved.
Importing Filter Settings
You can import your mail filters to SOGo. This will deactivate all filters, including absence notifications and forwarding rules that you have previously managed via the Mail Portal. If you have already use one of the three options, SOGo will recognize this and offer you to transfer the managing options (see image). Confirm this and manage filters etc. in SOGo. This will deactivate all managing options in the old mail portal and show the status as “inactive”. (Please note: The individual filter rules will not be deactivated individually, but become one deactivated set).
Create a New Filter in SOGo
In order to add a filter, select “create filter” (blue) on the right. In order to manage existing filters, select the pen-icon (orange). You can remove the filter on the right (black)[image 2].
A pop-up window will open when you want to edit or create a filter. Please make sure to add a name for this filter first. In the next step, you can select which messages the filter will be applied to (blue). You can add rules to the filter under “add rules” (orange). Select what to do with the messages that the filter applies to (black). In order to save the new filter, click “Ok” and then select the green floppy disk icon [image 3].
Example: Alls mails with the subject “Events ITCC” are to be moved to a specific folder. Select “all the rules apple to”, then click “add rule”, and select “subject” on the left. Next, select “includes” and add the value “Events ITCC”. In the lower section, choose “Add action” and select “move messages”, as well as that folder “Events ITCC”. Please note that folders need to be created beforehand, they cannot be created while setting up new filter rules.
