Address book
After the first login with the user name, there are two entries in the address book area, a global address book (cannot be changed by the user) and a personal address book, which you can fill. You can also create additional address books.
Import addresses
You can import addresses that are in LDIF format into a SOGo address book. To do this, proceed as follows:
- Click on the triple dot next to the address book.
- Select Import from there [Fig. 1].
- Then click on Upload.
- Enter the LDIF file name and confirm with Open. Vcards (= individual addresses, often as an attachment to an e-mail) can also be imported.
Share address book with other people
To make an address book accessible to other members of the university, you must assign user rights to the corresponding address book.
- To do this, click on the triple dot next to the address book and select "Shares..." (last item in the list) [Fig. 1].
- In the next window, enter the e-mail address of the relevant colleague [Fig. 2].
- After confirming the e-mail address, another settings window opens in which you can select the rights according to the requirements (blue). Click on Save to save your settings
(orange). You can also manage existing permissions here.
Subscribe to address book
You can subscribe to address books of colleagues who have a staff, student or guest account.
- To do this, click on the plus symbol next to Subscriptions (red).
- Then enter the email address of the person in question (black).
- If the person has given you rights (see next point) to an address book, this address book name will be displayed. If no rights have been granted, the message "No subscription possible" is displayed (blue).
